National Tuning Centres   Print  E-mail

In addition to a Management Committee, the setting up of National Tuning Centres in each of the Latin American countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican RepublicEcuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela) has been encouraged, with the aim of encouraging the participation of countries that cannot be directly involved with the project. These centres are guided by bodies responsible for higher education, quality assurance agencies, accreditation, rectors' conferences, professional/student/university assciations etc. Each country chose the location for the setting up of the National Tuning Centre, justifying its choice with criteria concerning the reach of the centre and its capacity for inclusion, in order to facilitate working within the national education system. The purpose of these centres is to link the project with others involved, and provide them with information about the system in relation to the issues that are arising in the project as a whole.
